About the Role

Position Overview:
The Free in Color Youth Internship Program offers an exciting opportunity for motivated young individuals to gain hands-on experience in community engagement, creative expression, and wellness programming. This position is ideal for youth who are passionate about making a difference, learning new skills, and contributing to meaningful projects that uplift their communities

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Support: Assist in planning, organizing, and facilitating creative workshops, wellness activities, and community events.

  • Community Engagement: Collaborate with team members to connect with local residents and promote programs that address community needs.

  • Creative Contributions: Help design materials, contribute to artistic projects like murals or workshops, and bring fresh ideas to the team.

  • Social Media and Outreach: Assist with creating content to highlight events, programs, and community success stories.

  • Learning and Development: Participate in training sessions to understand wellness practices, cultural humility, and the principles of social interest.

Qualifications:

  • Aged 16–24 years old, with a genuine interest in wellness, arts, or community service.

  • Enthusiastic about working with diverse populations, including youth, immigrant communities, and marginalized groups.

  • Willingness to learn, grow, and actively contribute to projects.

  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

  • Availability to commit to a flexible part-time schedule, including some evenings and weekends.
