About the Role
We are seeking a licensed or credentialed Art Therapist to provide individual and group art therapy services for our community members. This role involves facilitating trauma-informed, culturally competent sessions that integrate art, wellness, and therapeutic interventions.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate individual and group art therapy sessions in alignment with Free in Color’s mission.
Develop and implement creative therapeutic interventions tailored to diverse client needs.
Provide strength-based, person-centered therapy that promotes self-expression, healing, and growth.
Maintain client progress documentation in compliance with ethical and professional standards.
Collaborate with wellness specialists, therapists, and community leaders to enhance program impact.
Engage in community workshops and events that promote mental health and creative healing.
Qualifications & Skills:
Master’s Degree in Art Therapy, Counseling, or a related field (ATR-P, ATR, or equivalent preferred).
Experience working with BIPOC, immigrant, and underserved communities.
Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and culturally responsive therapy.
Ability to facilitate both virtual and in-person sessions.
Passion for community-driven wellness and holistic healing.
Compensation & Contract Details:
This is a contracted position with flexible scheduling.
Compensation is session-based and will be discussed during the hiring process.
Therapists must have their own liability insurance and adhere to ethical guidelines.
